Connect to QuickBooks

The Area Yield Portfolio Dashboard reads Profit & Loss reporting from QuickBooks Online to produce year-over-year performance figures for each property in the Area Yield portfolio.

Read-only

This integration never writes to your books. It retrieves report data only — it cannot create, edit, or delete transactions, invoices, or any other record in QuickBooks.

What it accesses

DataWhy

Expense accounts and categoriesExpense breakdown and repairs & maintenance ratio
Class namesAttributing results to individual properties

It does not access bank credentials, payment card data, payroll, or any company file other than the one you authorise.

How to connect

  1. Click Connect to QuickBooks below — you are taken to Intuit to sign in.
  2. Choose the company file and approve read-only accounting access.
  3. Intuit returns you here, and the Dashboard begins reporting from your Profit & Loss data.

Reconnecting

QuickBooks authorisation expires if unused for an extended period. If reporting stops updating, repeat the steps above to reauthorise — no data is lost, and historical figures already loaded are unaffected.

Disconnecting

You can revoke access at any time from QuickBooks Online → Settings → Apps → Connected apps → Disconnect. Access ends immediately. See what happens when you disconnect.

Access

The Dashboard is an internal tool for Area Yield LLC and its authorised property managers. It is not offered for public sign-up. Viewing it requires an access password; this page and our legal pages are public so that anyone reviewing the integration can read them.
